CELTIC CROSS:
The celtic cross (also: high cross) is a latin cross with a ring. It symbolizes the bridge to other worlds and to greater wisdom. This is illustrated by the two axis, while the vertical axis symbolizes the spiritual world and the horizontal axis the physical world. It often is decorated with celtic knots and can be depicted as a nimbus cross with longer bars. The cross with equal length bars also symbolizes the four orientations (north, east, south and west) and the four seasons.
