These tunnels are made of the dark heartwood and the light sapwood of the trunk of the tamarind tree and are therefore available in light and dark or with a proportion of both colors.

"Saddle Plugs" are a bit more narrow in the middle. No rubber rings are necessary for fixation and the Plug or Tunnel has a nice fit in the ear lobe.

The wood of the tamarind tree is very heavy, hard and resilient. It is well likes in fine carpentry and due to its beautiful color and structure is well suited for jewelry.
