Beautiful handmade ear tube of golden-brown Tiger's Eye
Double flared plugs (also called saddle plugs) are tapered in the middle and therefore have an optimal fit in the earlobe.
The Tiger's Eye is a microcrystalline, golden brown to golden yellow striped variety of the mineral quartz. Processed in smooth finish, it shows a billowing shimmer called chatoyancy or "cat's eye effect". Tiger's eye is formed by pseudomorphs with additional storage of iron.
Jewelry from organic materials (e.g. wood, horn, bone, stone) provide great comfort due to their light weight. As opposed to piercing jewelry from artificial materials or metals the development of odors while wearing them is greatly reduced. This article is available in different sizes. When used properly the jewelry is harmless but cannot be sterilized.
"Saddle Plugs" are a bit more narrow in the middle. No rubber rings are necessary for fixation and the Plug or Tunnel has a nice fit in the ear lobe.
Jewelry from organic materials (i.e. wood, horn and bone) offers best wearing comfort due to its light weight and is suitable for people with allergies. As opposed to Piercing-Jewelry made from synthetic materials or stainless steel the formation of odors during wearing is greatly reduced. When used as intended the jewelry is harmless but not sterilizable. It will last a very long time given regular cleaning and correct treatment.
Tiger's eye is a golden brown to golden yellow striped quartz which is a product of weathered "Blue-Grey Hawks Eye". Delicate fibres of brown hematite are aligned parallel which in smooth cut produce a special shimmer called "Chatoyance" or "Cats Eye Effect".
Small jewelry is not suitable for children under 3 years. Danger of swallowing!
