For the white plugs in sizes from 10 to 16 mm, tubular bones are unfortunately rarely available as raw material, which is why they are then made of acrylic instead.

Due to the saddle shape, which is narrower in the middle, no elastic bands are required and the plug sits optimally in the ear and does not slip.

Unfortunately, long bones of the required sizes are rarely available as raw material for plugs and tunnels made of bone in sizes from 10 to 16 mm. Therefore, these are made of acrylic as a substitute. Some vendors claim that these are alternatively made from a mixture of bone and resin. However, this is not the truth. A mixture of both materials would result in a spotty and unclean appearance.
